Today the piece of news that we discussed was

'Taranaki Hot-bed of Skin Cancer'

When attempting to make connections to the title given to us we had to 
find out a little bit of information about the words 'hot-bed' to help us.

We found that the definition of hot-bed is: An environment conducive 
to vigorous growth or development, especially of something undesirable

Today the piece of news that we discussed was


Making Connections to the Title
When attempting to make connections to the title given to us we had to 
find out a little bit of information about the words audit and slavery to help us.

We found out that SLAVERY meant 
The state or condition of being a slave; a civil relationship whereby one person has absolute power over another and controls his life, liberty, and fortune. (sourced at dictionary.com)
and that AUDIT meant 
An official examination and verification of accounts and records, especially of financial accounts of a business (sourced at dictionary.com)
