Taranaki Blowout - Volcanic Eruption

Our Term 4 topic of study is:

We are taking part in a fictional event (volcanic eruption) run by the Taranaki Civil Defence
Emergency Management Group in partnership with New Zealand Red Cross
and with input from GNS Science.

The fictional scenario unfolding on these pages is based on advice from volcanologists and other experts.  Find out what you can do right now to be ready for the day when our hypothetical event becomes a reality.

Follow this link to Room 2's Taranaki Blowout Weblist to read about
volcanic eruptions from various bookmarked sites.

Miss White again not to sound repetitive but a great resource for us to use as part of our Landforms study, we are creating a Civil Defence brochure as part of the work but I have to say your students actually being involved in the event would be a great learning experience!
