Monday, Week 10
Today the piece of news that we discussed was
Making Connections to the Title
When attempting to make connections to the title given to us we had to find out a little bit of information about the words audit and slavery to help us.
We found out that SLAVERY meant The state or condition of being a slave; a civil relationship whereby one person has absolute power over another and controls his life, liberty, and fortune. (sourced at dictionary.com)and that AUDIT meant An official examination and verification of accounts and records, especially of financial accounts of a business (sourced at dictionary.com)
Who, What, When, Where, Why We used features of Webklipper to highlight these elements of the article. We have colour coded our findings.
Can you work out which are which?
Discussion CommentsA lot of discussion came from reading this article closely. We have also included comments from class members about this article (to the right.)
